Most trainees do not know anything about labour laws

21-12-2011 @ 12:03:28 by Sensor

Almost half of all trainees in Holland doesn’t know anything about the rules on labour circumstances and labour laws at their traineeship. This was researched by an traineeship organization (FNV Jong) amongst 507 trainees.

Lack of information for students

Almost 61 per cent of all trainees doesn’t receive appropriate information about working safe, from their traineeship companies. FNV Jong states: ‘Trainees have few work experience which cause them to see less risks and danger during work. Companies and universities should inform their trainees well. Our research has shown this doesn’t happen often enough.’

For granted?

‘Good information is information about anything; explanation about using a big machine, description of working-clothes, the right position when working at an office. Companies think the trainees already know enough to get started with the job. They take everything for granted.’
