Only male teachers

Within primary schools, there are more often only women standing in front of the class to teach the pupils. This week, primary schools take action by letting only male teachers do their job.

Men for pupils!

The action is meant to raise attention for the fact that there are too few male teachers. Eighty-five per cent of the Dutch school children has a female teacher. The project ‘Men in front of the class’ was brought into existence to give the pupils a bit of male attention. The project is supported by the Ministry of Education.
