They’re back! The bedbugs. The little parasites which appear mostly in foreign hotel rooms and hostels, crawl into your suitcase and lift home with you. Especially students are a high-risk group.
Because of the use of the chemical DDT, the bedbug was near extinction. But the bug is having a comeback. The bedbugs are on the move because more people travel low budget. The beasties travel come from the foreign countries where they hide in mattresses.
Bedbugs appear a lot in students’ accommodations because a lot of students travel and stay abroad for their studies. Also pilots and stewardesses who sleep a lot in hotels suffer from these creatures.
The bedbug is a small parasite which looks like a sow bug and has a red-brown colour. They love the body’s temperature and are good at hide-and-seek in your mattress, where they wait for you to fall asleep. And when you are fast asleep they enjoy your blood…. Muahahah!
