20-10-2011 @ 14:31:03 by Sensor

Student Small Business and Retail management Stijn Brouwers and his friend Mitchel Benders are winners of the Dutch Series of Beer Pong.

Balls, cups, water

Beerpong is a pub-sport, and is something between ping-pong (table tennis) and commonly drinking. Two teams of each two members stand at both sides of a long table and throw ping-pong balls at the opponents’ cups filled with water. If you miss out on the cup, you have to drink half a glass of beer. If your team loses you’ll have buy a round.

'Sons of Pong'

Beerpong is extremely popular in America. In Holland, you have to go to the pub ‘Old Dutch’ in Venlo to experience it. This year there was a competition between 124 teams, coming from Ireland, Italy and Holland. With the result that Stijn and Mitchel, also known as ‘Sons of Pong’ won the game.

Trip to Las Vegas

Stijn and Mitchel will go to Las Vegas next year to participate in the World Series of Beer Pong. A nice trip, paid for by their pub and a beer brewer. The prize to win will be an amount of fifty-thousand dollars.
