Dutch exchange students prefer to go to Spain. The country has a great attraction for many.

Most popular country for students

Spain has been very attractive for Dutch exchange students for the last two years. The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Finland, Norway, Italy, Denmark and Turkey are preferred second. This was result of an analysis of Erasmus-countries within the Internationalization monitor Education in the Netherlands 2010.

Erasmus

The way in which the exchange study is paid for, differs a lot. Twenty-one per cent of the students goes abroad with the Erasmus- or Tempus programme. Thirty-four per cent with other financial programmes and forty-five per cent of the students pays for the study without any programme.
