You smell of books!

18-05-2011 @ 12:57:30 by Marijn Hondorp

A perfume with the smell of flowers or fruit is kind of boring, we think… These days, everything can be turned into a smell or better: you can make a smell out of everything! What about book-smell or bacon-smell?

Comme des Garcons

The main trendsetter was the fashion brand Comme des Garcons, which made perfumes with the smell of tar, rubber and wood. The brand keeps trying to develop the newest and weirdest perfumes.

Blood type matches perfume

The Italian perfume brand Blood Concepts makes perfumes who fit your blood type. Sounds strange right? If you know your blood type, you can match it with your perfume!

  • People with blood type O, the oldest blood type, smell like the prehistoric times: thyme, raspberry, leather and wood.
  • Perfume A represents the time when people started to eat vegetables: tomato leaves, basil and anise.
  • Perfume B represents the phase of the development of the human-being, with the smell of red apple, pepper and black tea.
  • Perfume AB represents the youngest blood type and smells like pebblestones, water and wood.

Greasy books

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld is fond of the smell of books. This smell recalls memories and has a nostalgic and comforting effect. Ideal for a perfume with the appropriate name Paper Passion. Lagerfeld calls the smell ‘greasy’. The bottle is in the shape of a book.

English breakfast smell

Last but not least: smell like an English Breakfast! De odour Bacon Classic of Fargginay smells like bacon combined with grapefruit, black pepper, orange and lemon. Sounds like a whole meal! Will the next fragrance smell like baked eggs?
