Scoot mobile record

19-05-2011 @ 10:54:50 by Marijn Hondorp

Students Occupational Therapy Lonneke Allard and Malou IJpelaar want to organize the longest scoot mobile journey of Holland. Their idea is ‘to gather 250 scoot mobiles together’, at the end of this month to make a trip. If this number of scoot mobiles is achieved, than this official Dutch record can be mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records.

Record of participants

The journey will be held in the city centre of Nijmegen. ‘It has to be a national record for the number of participants, not for the distance because that will be approximately 5 kilometers’, the two students say.

Attention and support

The purpose of the whole journey is to pay attention to the position of scoot mobiles within society. A scoot mobile gives the opportunity to participate within society, but people with scoot mobiles have to conquer a lot of obstacles. Occupational Therapy wants to support these people, and multiply the possibilities to go into town.
