Ron Bormans refuses to apologize

Chairman of the Board of Governors of the HAN, Ron Boormans, has refused to apologize for the lacks which the Schools Inspectorate discovered within the study of Mechanical Engineering.

Nothing wrong with Mechanical Engineering

He refused to apologize because ‘otherwise he would abandon twenty reliable and hard-working colleagues’, he said during the hearing of the commission of Education, Culture and Science in the Lower Chamber. Ron Bormans stuck to his point that Mechanical Engineering is a good study, although its teachers haven’t applied all exam procedures well enough.

Criticism from the Inspectorate

A few weeks ago, the Schools Inspectorate criticized the study of Mechanical Engineering. According to the inspectorate, the level of the course is below standard.
