Students from Nijmegen are no angels: 24 per cent of all students has committed fraud during their school carrier. Most of the times, they didn’t get caught at all. This is a result from a students’ poll on the website for students from Nijmegen, www.nultweevier.nl.
The majority of the students, 76 per cent, does all their assignments, projects and dissertations themselves. Although this looks like a big percentage, it means that almost 25 per cent, which is the rest, commits plagiarism and ‘steals’ assignments from the internet or other students.
The students who committed fraud in the past, were not always caught and punished for it, that only happened in six per cent of all cases. 18 per cent of the students got away safely…
