Chewing on your chewing gum works against the production of the stress hormone cortisol. This means of course that you won’t stress! And that is good news, isn’t it? Scientists of the British University of Northumbria have recently found out about this.
Chew to be more awake!
Right before a stressful situation, such as an exam or interview, it’ll do your good to have some chewing gum. Besides the reduction of the stress hormone cortisol, it improves your blood circulation to your brains. This makes you more alert.
Alternative for snacks
And, another good thing: chewing gum protects you from eating too much in case of stress! What a medicine!
