Bridge run wants HAN-students

16-05-2011 @ 14:38:24 by Marijn Hondorp

The organization of the annual Bridge run in Nijmegen expects a huge increase in participants this year. They are taking their chance on HAN-students…

Pool of students

A reason for the increase of hope: de HAN is one of the new sponsors. With this fact, a new pool of student participants can be expected. ‘Rather not only from Nijmegen, but as well as from Arnhem’, organizer John Aalbers says in the newspaper De Gelderlander.

Running clinics for promotion

To encourage the students, John Aalbers Sports will offer weekly running clinics during the months before the Bridge run. ‘We are promoting these clinics at the HAN. With the Bridge to Bridge-run in Arnhem, plans have been made to promote each other’s competitions, to encourage the crossing of participants in Nijmegen en Arnhem.’

Free shopping at the Albert Heijn

To encourage as many students as possible, one of the participants will be declared ‘the most sporty student’. The winner can go shopping at the Albert Heijn for a month, for free!
