The Dutch film New Kids Turbo is successful in Germany. The comedy, who has attracted 200,000 cinema visitors in the first weekend, got number one in the list of best visited films.
New Kids Turbo has been showing since last Thursday, in 186 German cinemas, which is a new record-breaker. Not ever before was a Dutch film that successful in Germany. The New Kids have post-synchronized the German version themselves. ‘We find the German version much funnier’, directors Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil say.
The film was successful in Holland as well. More than 1.1 million people saw the rude, cursing and idiot teenangers in the village Maaskantje, who lost their jobs and find new ways to entertain them-selves.
