New art in hall of Kapittelweg

26-04-2011 @ 11:46:14 by Marijn Hondorp

If you look around when standing in the main halls of the Kapittelweg-building of the HAN, you will see two new pieces of art decorating our school. The fresh new piece of art represents Mother Earth with all continents, except for Asia, which wasn’t finished yet.

Countries in line

The Art is a product of the symposium about diversity. Jouke Dijkstra, teacher of Creative Therapy supported second-year students who created the art. The other artwork can be seen near the escala-tors. 193 puppets of all countries in the world with their country-flag wrapped around them stand in line, which was given to the HAN as a present, by artist Maria Corstens.

Spread the message

Next year, another symposium about diversity will be held at the HAN. The HAN wants to pay attention to diversity. The message to be spread is: celebrate differences!
