‘When the deal is this good, why are you still at home?’
With this slogan, the British newspaper The Independent tries to persuade students to study here, in our small country of Holland.
Low school fees, good courses
Here, within ‘the country of Robin van Persie and Vincent van Gogh’ as the British know us, the school fees are lower compared to the school fees at British Universities. Still, the level of education is high, according to the newspaper. Moreover, many courses are taught in English, which is an advantage.
The attention from the Independent to Dutch Universities was stimulated by promotion activities held by several universities, amongst which the University of Maastricht.
