Students design measuring tape for bra

29-03-2011 @ 15:05:12 by Marijn Hondorp

Six students Small Business & Retail Management of Fontys Hogeschool in Eindhoven had to start their own small company this school year. Their idea was to design a measuring tape with which women can determine their own cup sizes.

Underneed S.C

The company, called Underneed S.C, was established on account of European research, of which the results showed that eighty per cent of all women wear bras of wrong sizes. The measuring tape has centimeters on one side, and the cup sizes on the other side, so that women immediately can see what their size is. No need to go to a special lingerie shop!

Embarrassment

Why wouldn’t women want to go to the shop, to have their size determined? The students have the answer: young girls could be embarrassed, and moreover, women change their size six times during their lives. With the measuring tape at home, the ladies will remain well-informed about their developments… and those of their boyfriends…
