Sunbedding students are mother's children

You know Sensor: we like to publish trash! Here is a useless fact: forty percent of the female students uses the sunbed for the first time with their mothers. Research shows that this group of students is five times more likely to continue using the sunbed regularly during their lives. But whether that is healthy?
Forty per cent goes together with mummy
Researchers Mary Kate Baker, Joel James and Xuefeng Lui researched amongst 227 female students of the East Tennessee State University at which age the students go sunbedding for the first time. Why should this be interesting, you might wonder. But you know the researches have to investigate SOMETHING to keep them off the streets…The results show that 32 per cent uses the sunbed with a goof friend, 20 per cent does it alone, 10 per cent with an acquaintance but 40 per cent does it with their moms.
Danger to health
Dermatologist Tina Alster says that mothers probably don’t understand that their daughters’ health is in danger by too much sunbedding. ‘If they would be aware of the risks, namely more chance to develop cancer, I doubt that they encouraged their daughters to take a sunbed’, she says. According to The Skin Cancer Foundation sunbedding increases the chance of skincancer with 75 per cent for the ones who use the sunbed before the age of 35.
