20,000 students expected in The Hague

21 January is the day: there will be a massive demonstration against the cutbacks on study grants in The Hague. So far, seven thousand students have signed up via Facebook. The organization expects approximately 20,000 students that day.
We come along
Also many many HAN-students will come along to fight for the maintenance of their monthly study grant. The HAN arranges buses for those who haven’t got an OV-card (public transportation cash card). Ron Bormans, spokesman of the Board of Governors, is coming as well. He will give a speech, namely.
The HAN prepares
At the HAN, Maarten Verhoovens and Alexander Vijghen are the boosters of the action. They started hanging banners in the building at Laan van Scheut. Also other studies prepare for the big day by spreading pamphlets and little whistles. The HAN-activists also have a Hyves-page.
Want to join?
HAN-students and employees who want to join and come along by bus, can e-mail naardenhaag@gmail.com. Send your name and your preferred place to take the bus (Campus in Nijmegen or Campus in Arnhem)
Did you sign the petition?
More than 250,000 people signed. If you haven’t done it yet, do sign it right now! (Although it is a Dutch petition, it counts for you as well!)
