Protest against educational cutbacks this Friday!

08-12-2010 @ 13:05:23 by Marijn Hondorp

Are you in the mood to pay five thousand Euros when you are delayed in finishing your study? And receiving no students’ public transport ticket? No? You can stand up against these government’s measures, in Nijmegen this Friday.

Stand up against the measures

An open truck with disc jockeys will support you this Friday, 1.30 pm, on your way from Stationsplein to the Grote Markt. By joining the group of protestants, you can show your disagreement with the government’s plans to cut the educational budget:

  • You have to pay 5000 Euros if you have a delay of more than a year in finishing your study (from 2011-2012 on)
  • A fine of 3000 Euros for the University or College for every student with study delay (from 2011-2012 on)
  • No study grant for students who do a master’s course (from 2012-2013 on)
  • No Public transport season ticket for students who have a delay in finishing their studies (2012-2013)

Do you disagree with these plans?
Show yourself this Friday, at half past one, Stationsplein in Nijmegen.
