International Fair for potential exchange students

12-11-2010 @ 09:49:23 by Marijn Hondorp

Arnhem Business School is organizing an International Fair for students who are interested in studying abroad.

Studying abroad for six months

This Fair will be held on two separate dates: the first will take place at the Kapittelweg building in Nijmegen on November 17th. The second will be a day later, November 18th in the Arnhem Business School building. The event will start with a gathering at the auditorium where students will be informed about what it is like to go to another country for six months and follow classes at a local university. Afterwards there is a possibility to visit the canteen, where you can receive more information.

Buddy system

There is for example,  a stand which gives information about the newly developed 'Buddy system'. Every international student who comes to Arnhem or Nijmegen to study, will be linked to a Dutch student, who will show them around, inform them about subjects such as school, the city and public transport. The organization specifically chose Dutch students because former exchange students complained that, even though they liked their stay in the Netherlands, they only got to know other international students and no Dutch students. With this system the university wants to change that.
