Condition of the HAN

Last month, the management report appeared in which the HAN’s developments in education and organization of the last eight months were pointed out.
Contentment
The rate of contentment amongst students, measured by the National Student’s Enquiry, seems to have risen. Although the HAN is doing well, the Board of Regents has decided to increase the stan-dard from 80 percent to 90 percent in 2012. Employees score a 7.7 for contentment, which is the same as last year.
New students
The amount of students has increased with four percent. There are now 29538 students, but the intake of new first-year students dropped back with half a percent, for the first time in many years.
Finances
The HAN is doing quite well financially. The Board of Regents and Service Department are scoring better than estimated, which causes a positive result of approximately six hundred thousand Euros. There would have been even more money saved, when the market activities would have stuck to their budgets too.
Education and Technology
Both faculties got into financial troubles last year. Because of cutbacks and the reduction of employ-ers, the faculties now seem to have had the worst part. The HAN expects to get positive results over the year 2010.
