Stalker active near student accommodations

Snsr.nl wrote about it earlier (see article 'Stalker looking for female students') : There is a stalker active in Nijmegen. It is an unsavoury person, who claims to be a poll-taker, but in the meantime bothers and spies on female students. ‘Please report this man to the police!’ HAN-student Roos says. She is one of his victims. The police also severely advises students to report.
Welgelegen
The stalker is active at the Radboud University and near students’ accommodations in Nijmegen. One of his victims, Roos*, was approached by this man in her own home at student accommodation Wel-gelegen. He rang the doorbell and with sneaky excuses he got her mobile phone number, after which the stalking began.
Report
He called her dozens of times. When Roos found out that he was spying on her in the evenings, it was the limit for her and she reported the man. It made sense, because the stalking stopped. Roos didn’t see Michael (as he calles himself) again, until she saw him last week trying to approach other female students. She looked him right in the eyes, and it obviously shocked him a bit, because he quickly ran away. When the police, who had been called, arrived, he was already gone.
Refter
This stalker is also active at the Radboud University. He approaches girls in De Refer, the University’s canteen. The University has therefore taken extra safety measures.
Well-known by the police
The police are familiar with the case, knows the man’s name and even his address. Pictures of him are being circulated. They even know what type of car he is driving. The police would rather see him being reported a lot more. All reports about this stalker together should be enough for an action towards justice. A spokesperson of the police Gelderland-Zuid tells: ‘The man has been warned. But if his urge to search for victims remains, you cannot but conclude that he is (mentally) ill. In that case, it is a job for the Department of Justice.’ Also Roos recommends witnesses or victims to report.
* Roos is a pseudonym. An interview with this student can be read in Sensor 5, which appears on 27 October. The same interview will be translated in English on snsr.nl
