Photo shoot for charity

Iris Stakenburg, student Teachers Training College, is going to Ethiopia this month together with two fellow students. She and other Ethiopian students will teach at primary schools in remote villages. Iris considers the journey, which came about with the aid of foundation Edukans, to be the chance of a lifetime. But she has to arrange a lot.
She has to pay her travelling expenses and accommodation herself, and bring all her educational tools as well. As if that is not enough, she also has to collect a thousand Euros as financial backing for all the projects to visit.
Photoshoot
There already was a benefit party, and in addition to that Iris arranged that everybody can have them-selves professionally photographed for 15 Euros. This action is held one day, at the Teacher Training College Groenewoud in Nijmegen. Iris hired a photographer and cosmetician, who make sure every-body get’s well in the picture. ‘What a smooth skin you have, I don’t have to do anything about it’, Laura tells Marijn. Today, Laura isn’t student Commercial Economy but the cosmetician. She does Sensor’s employee Marijn’s face, as she will have herself photographed in a few minutes. Law student Jeroen takes the pictures, which is a serious job for him as well as it is for Laura (www.jaley.nl). Iris arranges all other matters. She welcomes the models and makes the sandwiches. The models find it all rather exciting. ‘If you just smile, there is nothing to it’, Iris tells them in a reassuring voice.
