Tram towards the campus?

In Nijmegen, the Havana alongside the Waal persists. During the local elections, Groen Links (the green party) received more votes than PvdA (working-class party). Nijmegen saw a left-winged coalition the last few years, with chairmen of PvdA, Groenlinks and SP (socialist party). Those three parties together are again in the majority, with 21 of 39 seats. All three are in fond of the return of the tram in Nijmegen.
Environment and traffic: Return of the tram?
Now that Groen Links forms the biggest party, the change of a left-winged board is there, possibly completed with members of D66. Great chance that within the formation negotiations the environment and traffic will be big issues. And the possible return of the tram (Nijmegen had a few tram lines till 1955). This would be great for students. There is already a fast bus route from Central Station to the campus, but this Heijendaal Shuttle is still sometimes transport-of-cattle-leveled.
