Gaming for course credits

Communication & multimedia Design-students design their own Game within their optional subject.
‘Really cool’, says Ramon van Rhee, the deviser of Monkey Ninja Village. ‘What I devised, we all executed in class.’ During the semester Game, an optional subject of the faculty of Communication and Multimedia design, his idea has been produced to a real game.
Demonstration
The students present what they made the last 6 months, with help of a PowerPoint presentation, video-fragments and a running monkey. ‘This gives satisfaction’, says Ramon, after the explanation about monkeys with weapons and opponents. The students created the backgrounds, the personages and the sounds themselves. During the presentation they demonstrated the final product, which caused laughter within the audience. In the meanwhile bloody heads are flying around.
So Ramon has found the Game Developer in himself? ‘To be honest, I am glad it’s over. I will concentrate on other things now’.
