Students with Facebook get lower grades

What every student already suspected will be scientifically confirmed: who spend more time on website Facebook, spends less to their study.
Study results
Moreover, students who registered to Facebook get lower grades. Research of the Ohio State University shows that the average grade of students who have a profile is approximately half a point lower, compared to their fellow students. They study just one to five hours a week, against eleven to fifteen hours for other students. Still, the majority of the 148 interviewees does not think the virtual web to be bad for their study-results.
Is it just Facebook?
The American doctoral who did the research can not prove that just the networking on Facebook leads to lower grades. ‘Some students could also find another excuse to not have to study, and consequently receive lower grades as well.’ The researcher herself, Aryn Karpinski, can not be found on Facebook. ‘It would be a great distraction for me’.
