HAN-students organise a great beach volleyball-tournament

22-06-2009 @ 15:52:50 by Renee Jenniskens

The 27th June the Waal-quay (kade) will be transformed into a true beach-paradise.
Five students of the HAN who follow the minor event management, organise a spectacular beach volleyball-tournament. Students, volleyball-players and people in the same age category can participate.

Beach near the Waal

Five lorries will drop their contents, which is sand, in front of the Holland Casino so that the audience stands on a imaginary beach. ‘All ingredients to make a joyful day are present’, according to Derek Knipscheep, spokesman of the event. ‘A snack, a drink and of course a nice activity to do or to watch. Add beautiful weather to that, and it will be complete. But of course we will see about that.

Unique

It has been years since Nijmegen knew a serious beach volleyball-tournament. Therefore it is unique the five students achieved to organise and set up a serious event. To find sponsors, to arrange the permission and all related matters was a great job, but despite that they managed to set up a good organisation. After the tournament a pleasant after-party will take place at Riva.
