Dutch student company Students2Business have won the Dragon’s Den contest at the Student Trade Fair 2009 in Norway .

Toothpaste

The six students who study Technical Business Administration in Arnhem beat the other student companies which came from 27 different countries, a remarkable achievement. Their successfull product the Squeezer is a clever small aparatus which squeezes a tube until its last drop. The squeezer is used mostly with toothpaste.

Dragon's Den

The Dragon’s Den, an element of the Trade Fair, is very popular among the students. That’s because of the British TV programme with the same name. Every company has two minutes time to convince the jury why they should invest in their product. Students2Business won because of the way they placed their product in the market and because it is an item that saves money, which is welcome in this time of financial instability, acoording to the jury. ‘And it is a sustainable item, general manager Frank Pek says. You use less tubes so as a result you will have less garbage per person per year.

‘The market day in Norway was also very succesful’, general manager Frank Pek explains with a smile. ‘We have sold 132 squeezers. Not too long ago we had a market day in Utrecht, where we barely sold twenty. Just enough to break even for that day.
